Merrill Lynch International Trust and Wealth Structuring (IT&WS)
consists of a number of regulated trust businesses, all of which are Merrill
Lynch subsidiaries but operate entirely independently of MLB(S).
IT&WS provides the processes for the timely and orderly transfer
of wealth from one generation to another. Most clients seek to transfer
the greatest possible amount of wealth to their surviving beneficiaries,
while devising a plan that will meet the needs of several successive generations.
Merrill Lynch International Trust and Wealth Structuring provides a selection
of services to enable clients of MLB(S) to organize their finances in
a way that is efficient and tax effective during the client's lifetime,
and satisfies the client's wishes for the distribution of wealth upon
death. When IT&WS is requested by a client of the bank to set-up a
trust, it always recommends that the client seeks independent advice on
the legal and tax implications that the creation of the structure will
have on his personal circumstances and of that of the beneficiaries.
